Steven Spielberg has signed on to direct a film based on Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle. Kyle was killed at a gun range in Texas. Considered to be the deadliest sniper in US military history, Kyle wrote American Sniper.
The film will be tag teamed by DreamWorks and Warner Bros. Bradley Cooper is set to star in the production. I don't normally get excited about a Cooper movie but he's making some more challenging role choices as of late and it's paying off. I loved Silver Linings Playbook and for me, that was more worthy of the Oscar compared to Argo. But that's a different issue.
