SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO-AM) - Interstate 90 has reopened between Sioux Falls and Mitchell. However, the interstate will remain closed from Mitchell to Rapid City until further notice.The South Dakota Department of Transportation says I-229 was temporarily closed between I-29 and Louise Avenue due to a damaged power line. I-29 was also closed between I-229 and 41st Street.
The South Dakota Office of Public Safety says all state government offices will close today at noon due to worsening weather conditions statewide. Essential services, including the Emergency Operations Center, will remain open.
