SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Sioux Falls Arts Council is celebrating the beginning of Arts Month with it's annual fundraiser, "Six Degrees of Separation Party."
Director Tim Hoheisel says "March is Arts Month" and the fundraiser highlights the fine arts: visual, music, theater, dance, literature and film.
Hoheisel says everyone is exposed to one of the fine arts everyday. Whether that's going to a child's play at school, singing along with a song on the car radio, going to a concert or looking at artwork on the street or in your home and office, the arts are everywhere.
The Arts Celebration and Party is Friday night at 7 at the Museum of Visual Materials in downtown Sioux Falls.
Hoheisel says artists will paint four collaborative pieces during the party and the new original art will be given away as door prizes.
Admission is twenty dollars at the door.
