VERMILLION, S.D. (KWSN)– Outside hitter Kendall Kritenbrink was named the Summit League’s Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. It’s the fifth time she has gained the honor in her career.
Kritenbrink earned tournament MVP honors at the Bobcat Classic last weekend by finishing the tournament with 44 kills and 22 digs. The junior recorded her 1,000th career kill in the opening set of USD’s sweep of Akron, and finished that match with 21 kills, 11 digs and seven blocks. For the weekend, she averaged 4.89 kills per set on a .305 hitting percentage.
The Coyotes (8-3) host North Dakota tonight in the DakotaDome at 7 p.m. They’ll face Hawai’i at the Wichita State Shocker Classic on Thursday.
