Undated (KELO-AM) Absentee voting started Friday for South Dakota's June 3 primary.
Secretary of State Jason Gant says absentee votes can be a substantial part of the total. He says that back in 2012 of the some 300,000 votes cast, about 100,000 were absentee.
You can vote absentee by mail or at your county auditors office.
Among the primary contests are both the Democratic and Republican choices for Governor and the Republican pick for the U-S Senate.
