(WNFL)- Wisconsin native Pat Neshek (nee'-shack) has signed a minor league contract with the Saint Louis Cardinals. The sidearm right-handed reliever who was born in Madison is being invited to the Cardinals' spring training as a non-roster player. The 33-year-old Neshek is a seven-year Major League veteran with Minnesota, San Diego, and Oakland. He has spent the last two seasons with the A's, with a three-point-three-five E-R-A in 45 games last year for the American League West Division champions. For his career, Neshek has a three-point-oh-seven E-R-A in 226 relief outings. He graduated from Brooklyn Park high school in Minnesota and pitched with the Twins from 2006-through-2010.
