SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - As the Memorial Day weekend approaches, law enforcement asks that you don’t drive under the influence.
Captain Greg Vandekamp says Sioux Falls police will hold a saturation patrol Saturday night. Vandekamp says an additional 16 officers will be added to the streets. He says the emphasis is on the drinking and impaired driver and seat belt enforcement.
Vandekamp says the patrol will continue until four Sunday morning.
South Dakota's Memorial Day accident reporting period starts Friday, May 23.
