SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — An event being held this Saturday, August 8, 2020, between 1 PM and 3 PM is drumming up a lot of interest on Facebook.
Event organizer Allison Harris spoke with Greg Belfrage, on the Greg Belfrage show this morning to share details of the event.
Allison says more than 600 people have signed up to attended with an additional 4,000 interested in attending.
Harris says she organized the event to show law enforcement officers in Sioux Falls and surrounding areas that the community does support them.
Allison asks participants to bring American flags, blue line flags, or signs with words of encouragement.
The event will take place on the east side sidewalk of Minnesota Ave from 3rd Ave to 6th Street and directly in front of the law enforcement building.
Parking is available in the public lot east of the police department, also on any streets nearby where parking is permitted.
