BOWDLE, S.D. (KELO.com) — There was an earthquake Tuesday near Bowdle, South Dakota in the north-central part of the state.
The United States Geological Survey says it had a magnitude of 3.2 on the Richter scale.
This isn’t the first earthquake in 2020 in South Dakota.
On August 25th, there was a 2.5 earthquake near Platte in south-central South Dakota.
There were no reports of damage in the Bowdle quake in Edmunds County.
The USGS reports that six people indicated they felt it. The USGS says the earthquake was likely at a depth of 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles below the surface.
