SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — From today’s Sioux Falls Police briefing:
Sioux Falls Police say a man swerved at a patrol car to get the cop’s attention.
The incident happened last night (Thursday) near 14th Street and Minnesota Avenue.
The man said he needed the police’s help because his 11-year-old daughter had been threatened at a convenience store.
Christopher Wilson, 33, was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, and disorderly conduct.
Police say there are better ways of getting their attention, such as calling 911 or waving if you need help.

A Sioux Falls man was surprised by a person rummaging in his car and was threatened with a knife yesterday afternoon.
The incident happened yesterday at 5:45 at the intersection near 8th Street and French Avenue.
According to Lieutenant Adam Peterson, a man approached his vehicle to go to work and discovered a person rummaging inside.
“There was a confrontation that ensued and the victim pulled the man out of his vehicle and threatened him with a knife,” said Petersen.
The suspect took off running and was captured in a local business by a Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office Deputy.
30-year-old Roman Hernandez was charged with aggravated assault and criminal entry of a motor vehicle.
