SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KWSN.com) — Sioux Falls Washington boys basketball showed why they’re the state’s top-ranked team in a decisive win over Sioux Falls Lincoln last night. The Warriors beat the Patriots 74-49 to move to 4-0 on the season. No. 2 Yankton beat Sioux City East (Iowa) 72-59. Third-ranked Harrisburg also got a win Tuesday, 67-48 over Western Christian (Iowa).
In other boys games, Dakota Valley beat Sergeant Bluff-Luton (Iowa) 88-79 to maintain the top spot in Class A. Brookings got their first win of the year over Watertown 55-54 in overtime, Howard stayed undefeated with a 72-22 win over Menno, and Canton lost to Milbank 66-57.
In girls games Tuesday, No. 2 Harrisburg beat Western Christian (Iowa) 56-42, third-ranked Sioux Falls O’Gorman handled Pierre 58-21, and Sioux Falls Christian – No. 5 in Class A – topped Wagner 54-33.
In other girls games, Tea Area beat Vermillion 51-44, Canton topped Elkton-Lake Benton 71-32, Dakota Valley edged Sergeant Bluff-Luton (Iowa) 62-58, Garretson bested Dell Rapids St. Mary 71-60, and Madison got a win over Arlington 66-58.
