BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Top-seed South Dakota State faces Omaha Saturday afternoon as the Summit League women’s basketball tournament gets underway at the Sanford Pentagon.
Jackrabbit head coach Aaron Johnston says SDSU had to battle to get two wins in Omaha early in the season. He says their post depth, and defense, are problems.
Johnston says SDSU closed the regular season with four wins against good teams – that after two key players went down with injuries.
The tournament winner is automatically in the NCAA tournament
