PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — The South Dakota Department of Health reports six new deaths from the coronavirus Friday.
This comes after several days of no reported deaths.
That state’s death toll from the pandemic is now 2,010.
Hospitalizations are unchanged since Thursday at 49.
Recovered South Dakotans are close to 122,000.
The department of health reports 57 new cases.
Active cases are down by 25 to 391.
That’s the first time active cases have been that low since last April.
Over 54% of eligible South Dakotans are partially inoculated against the coronavirus.
Just under 50% are fully vaccinated.
The seven-day new person test positivity rate is up slightly to just over four percent.
