SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Vast Broadband responded on Facebook over residents’ and Sioux Falls officials’ complaints about their green boxes for internet service in subscribers’ front yards.
Some residents said the boxes were ugly. Mayor Paul TenHaken had tweeted his dismay about the boxes and the lack of communications with the City and with subscribers.
“We want residents to know their feedback has been heard, and we’re making adjustments to the design of our fiber-optic network,” the Facebook statement said. “The most immediate change will be replacing recently installed freestanding pedestals that are not co-located with other utilities.”
Vast also says they are “revising our approach to how we communicate with the community.”
