SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Great expectations are nothing new for USF football, but the eagerness to play actual games sure is.
The Cougars met the Sioux Falls media today to preview their upcoming season, which will be their first one of actual competition after the 2020 campaign was wiped out due to COVID-19.
Gunning for its 27th consecutive winnings season, the Cougars are picked to finish fourth in the 16-team Northern Sun conference and third in the 8-team NSIC South division — just behind Augustana in both preseason coaches’ polls.
Head coach Jon Anderson and two players who decided to accept their extra year of eligibility and continue their careers — linebacker Harvey Enalls and wide receiver Ty Smith — chatted with the Voice of the Cougars, Tom Frederick.
USF opens its schedule at home against Bemidji State on Thursday, Sept. 2, at 6:05 p.m. at Bob Young Field. The game can be heard locally on 107.9 FM. The rest of USF’s games will be on longtime radio partner FOX Sports 98.1, AM-1230, and KWSN.com.
