PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Pierre Police Department is looking for a suspect involved in a stabbing shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday night.
Information released from the Department says officers were called to the 400 block of East Sioux for a stabbing. The victim reported he was at a residence in the 300 block of South Brule, attempting to locate another party. The victim and the suspect had a verbal altercation regarding loud knocking on a door. During the argument, the suspect stabbed the victim. The victim was transported to Avera St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. The extent of the person’s injuries is unknown.
Police captain Bryan Walz says the suspect has been identified but has not yet been located.
