RAPID CITY, S.D. (KELO.com) — Rapid City Police are investigating a shooting that occurred shortly before 2:00 a.m. this morning at the intersection of Main and 9th Street. Upon arrival, police located one male who had been shot. He was transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.
Police are working a number of leads to determine who is responsible for the shooting. With the incident occurring in such close proximity to bar-close, dozens of bystanders were present at the time of the shooting. The Rapid City Police Department does not feel there is any threat to the public and are encouraging anyone with any information to call at 605-394-4131.
