SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Clerk of Courts for the federal District of South Dakota says jury trials increased from 16 in 2020 to 30 in 2021.
Still, that is lower than before the coronavirus pandemic.
They say there were 43 jury trials in 2019.
Most of last year’s trials occurred in the Western Division, where there were 15 jury trials. There were seven jury trials in Sioux Falls, three in Pierre, and five in Aberdeen.
