SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Another officer with the Sioux Falls Police Department is facing charges after his arrest for the possession of child pornography.
Matthew Jock, 23, was arrested on Wednesday in Sioux Falls.
The investigation into Jock began in January after the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation received a tip regarding a Kik Messenger account, possibly owned by Jock, containing multiple files of child pornography.
After an investigation by the DCI, an arrest warrant was filed against Jock.
He is facing 5 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Sioux Falls Police Chief Jon Thum says that the SFPD will not let the actions of former officers Jock and Schauer overshadow the great work done by others within the department.
As of Thursday morning, Jock is no longer employed by the Sioux Falls Police Department
