SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — How about some free fishing with Mom Sunday?
South Dakota has free fishing for everyone Sunday, not just mothers. You just have to abide by fishing regulations and limits.
It’s a bit different in Minnesota.
From the Minnesota Dept. of Natural Resources:
Reminder: During Take a Mom Fishing Weekend Saturday, May 7, to Sunday, May 8, moms who live in Minnesota can fish without purchasing a license. Fishing is open for many species like crappie, sunfish, catfish, or native fish like buffalo, sucker, bullhead or sheepshead. Walleye and northern pike seasons will open the following weekend on Saturday, May 14.
Either way, if you’re lucky enough or skilled enough, you’ll be able to say, “That’s a nice fish!”
