*The Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins had their game suspended in Minneapolis when a severe thunderstorm rolled through and halted play in the top of the fourth inning.
The Astros were leading the Twins 5-1.
The suspended game will be tacked on as a doubleheader on this (Thursday) afternoon.
*The Minnesota Wild are on the cusp of elimination tonight in their first round NHL playoff series with the St. Louis Blues.
Toronto, St. Louis and Carolina also have a chance to advance in Game 6s should they win.
*The Milwaukee Bucks have a 3-2 lead in the NBA’s conference semifinals.
The Memphis Grizzlies have forced a Game 6 in their series with Golden State.
*Basketball great Bob Lanier (luh-NEER’) has died at age 73 following a short illness, according to the NBA.
Lanier was one of the NBA’s top players of the 1970s, muscling up beside the likes of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
