SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Here are your Wednesday morning jorts.
I mean sports. Jorts are very different. Move along, nothing to see here, read below.
*Seth Brown hit a tiebreaking double in the seventh inning, Sean Murphy followed with a two-run single.
The Oakland Athletics ended their four-game losing streak against the Twins, beating Minnesota 5-2.
*Kayla McBride scored 24 points in her season debut for Minnesota.
Meanwhile, Sylvia Fowles and Moriah Jefferson each added 20 points to help the Lynx win their first game of the season with a 87-84 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks.
*Minnesota Viking Danielle Hunter became the youngest player in NFL history to reach 50 sacks about 2 1/2 years ago.
Since then he has had consecutive seasons wrecked by injury.
The size of Hunter’s contract created a question about whether he’d return to the Vikings this year.
However, the Vikings found a way to resign him.
*The Minnesota Wild would prefer to keep Marc-Andre Fleury and Cam Talbot as their goalies next season.
The Blues eliminated the Wild in six games.
