STURGIS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Since the start of the Sturgis motorcycle rally, 4 injury crashes and 1 fatality have been reported.
Just before 11:00 Saturday morning, a Harley Davidson motorcycle rear-ended another Harley that had slowed down on South Dakota Highway 34. The 58-year-old driver of the first motorcycle was taken to a Rapid City hospital where he later died of his injuries. The second driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
There have been 8 felony drug arrests and 17 misdemeanor drug arrests, as well as 23 DUI arrests.
