12-year-old girl followed by man while walking home from school in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A suspicious man following a middle school student in Sioux Falls is under investigation.  According to police, the 12-year-old girl was walking home after school, south of Ben Reifel Middle school, and realized she was being followed.  The girl became concerned.  She saw a woman at a mailbox and approached her.  The man came up and told the girl she needed to go with him.  The woman then told him she wasn’t going anywhere, and the man took off.  Police checked surveillance video in the area.  They saw the girl but not the man.  She did not recognize him.
