FLANDREAU, S.D. (KELO.com) — An Iowa murder suspect was apprehended in Moody County on Friday afternoon. Nathanial Byron Kessel of Rock Rapids, Iowa, was arrested in Flandreau at the Native Nations Despensary. On the afternoon of March 23rd, authorities were called to a home in Sheldon, Iowa where they found a deceased female. The Moody County Sheriff’s Office said phone pinging and an infrared camera from the South Dakota Highway Patrol plane were used to assist in locating the suspect.
Kessel was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm and murder in the 1st degree.
