SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — It’s been called an eyesore – a boondoggle – and a sore subject. Soon it will wear the largest mural in South Dakota. With the help of a $30-thousand dollar donation from Matt Paulson of Marketbeat, the parking ramp that was to be a showpiece hotel development will become an artistic downtown feature. It will be local artist Walter Portz’ largest work.
Mayor Paul TenHaken says the city is talking with potential developers. He believes the mural will make the property more marketable.
Workers will begin priming the wall in the next few days.
