LINCOLN COUNTY, SD (KELO.com) — Their parents earned millions from the sale of Sue the T-Rex, found on their property in South Dakota. Now, two daughters are in a legal fight over who inherits what’s left of the fortune. “Sue” is among the most complete fossil T-Rex finds in the world, and was unearthed on the property of Maurice and Darlene Williams property on the Cheyenne River Reservation in northwestern South Dakota in the 1990’s. Maurice Williams died in 2011, and his wife Darlene died in 2020. According to records filed in Lincoln County, Darlene has two wills. One of her daughters is alleging misappropriation of funds and fraud as she takes two of her siblings to court. By the way, if you’d like to see the T-Rex, Sue is on permanent display at the Chicago Field Museum of Natural History.
