Governor Larry Rhoden
South Dakota lawmakers are hoping to close the revolving door of state prisons. That, following this week’s approval of a new 650-million-dollar men’s prison, to be built in Sioux Falls. Governor Larry Rhoden followed through on his promise to create a task force on rehabilitation.
The prison will take four years to build, but officials are expected to look for ways to improve rehab programs in the meantime.
