Counterfeit currency used in Brookings

Brookings Police are warning about counterfeit bills being used in the area. The currency in question is 50-dollar bills that all share the same serial numbers. They also have light blue coloring to the left of President Grant’s image…and are textured differently that other U.S Currency. A number of the bills were used in Big Stone County northeast of Brookings.
