Pierre, SD (KELO.com) — Governor Rhoden says he’s running for re-election. When asked in an interview with KELOLAND if he was running to stay governor in 2026, Rhoden responded, “that’s right.” He added he’s the best qualified to be South Dakota’s governor. He’ll run against fellow Republicans Dusty Johnson, Toby Doeden and Jon Hansen in the June primary. Robert Arnold is running on the Democratic side, along with independents Allison Renville and Terry Gleason.
