SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) – The South Dakota Highway Patrol says two people died Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash east of Salem.
A 1999 Toyota Camry was westbound on South Dakota Highway 38 when it crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound 2007 Mercury Milan.
Both the 22-year-old female driver of the Mercury and the 60-year-old male driver of the Toyota were pronounced dead at the scene. Neither were wearing seat belts.
Names of the two people involved are not being released pending notification of family members.
The investigation is on-going.
