SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — After a months-long search, the state of South Dakota has acquired a new airplane for official travel.
In 2021, the state legislature appropriated $5 million, plus the proceeds from the sales of the state’s previous planes, for the purchase of a new plane.
The two planes sold for a combined $3 million, giving the state more than $8 million to spend on a new airplane.
The 2015 King Air 350 was purchased for 4.7 million dollars.
