SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Authorities have identified the victim in the fatal vehicle versus pedestrian crash that occurred last Friday along Marion Road in Sioux Falls.
24-year-old Skyler James Yellow Eagle of Mission, S.D., was working on recovering his car after it left the roadway, when he was he was struck by passing vehicle.
That vehicle then left the scene.
Yellow Eagle was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries before passing away later that night.
Investigators believe poor road conditions were likely a factor in the crash.
At this time, no arrests have been made as Sioux Falls Police continue their investigation on identifying the suspect.
