SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — South Dakota Penitentiary Warden Teresa Bittinger has been removed, as questions remain over last month’s prison lockdown. Corrections Secretary Kellie Wasko briefed state lawmakers Monday about contraband found during the lengthy lockdown. Families of inmates claim a full lockdown is still in force in parts of the prison.
