PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — South Dakotans have approved the use of recreational and medical marijuana in a vote.
South Dakota voters approved Amendment A, which legalizes the recreational use of marijuana 53 percent to 47 percent as of 4 a.m., and Initiated Measure 26, which legalizes the use of medical marijuana 69% to 31%.
It’s now up to legislators to write statutes reflecting the will of the people.
