A Sioux Falls man is facing federal prison for 15 years, and fines of 12-thousand-500 dollars for producing child pornography. 47-year-old James Kooima pleaded guilty to the charges in May. He used Snapchat to befriend a 14-year-old girl from Maine, convincing her they were in a romantic relationship, and coercing her into sending him sexually explicit videos of herself. U.S Attorney Allison Ramsdell says parents must remain vigilant in monitoring their children’s online activity and teaching them about online risks.
