(Reuters) -The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Thursday announced nine voucher recipients under the new Commissioner’s National Priority Voucher pilot program.
Voucher recipients will receive a decision within 1-2 months following filing of a complete application for a drug, the FDA said.
The FDA in June launched the new voucher program under which its commissioner can issue vouchers to companies he finds are aligned with national priorities to shorten their review time for a drug application to one to two months from the typical timeline of about 10-12 months.
