MADISON, SD (KELO.com) — The show will go on in Madison – the annual 4th of July fireworks show that is. Officials announced recently that budget restrictions were forcing cancellation of the pyrotechnic production…but local citizens have decided to not let that happen. Community members say it isn’t about fireworks, but about preserving a tradition, creating memories and showing what can happen when a community comes together. Organizers say freedom is always worth celebrating, especially as the nation celebrates 250 years of Independence.
