PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) – It’s known as the ‘Double Up Food Bucks’ program, and it’s designed to encourage families on SNAP Nutrition benefits to buy healthier foods.
Buche Foods and Buche’s Gus Stops, which serve some of South Dakota’s reservations and remote areas, have been selected to participate in the program.
It doubles the benefits of SNAP customers, giving them additional buying power for eligible fresh fruits and vegetables.
Company President RF Buche says they’re proud to be part of the effort.
