The South Dakota Aeronautics Commission Approves Updates to Their Funding Policy

PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) – The South Dakota Aeronautics Commission is approving updates to its funding policy to expand airport terminal projects.

The commission says the new policy will, “address growing infrastructure needs.”

Officials say they are initiating a tiered, percentage-based formula.

They also approved an increase in the state match program up to seven percent for public airports except Rapid City and Sioux Falls, which will remain at five percent.

Expansion projects are already underway at both Rapid City and Sioux Falls airports.
