RAPID CITY, S.D. (KELO.com) — A fire is burning in North Rapid City, forcing evacuations to be carried out by the Rapid City Police Department, and a major response from the Rapid City Fire Department.
No size estimate is available for the fire right now.
Brendyn Medina, community relations officer for the RCPD, said numbers aren’t available for the number of mandatory evacuations either.
Tessa Jaeger, public information officer for the RCFD, said firefighters are actively battling to save homes right now.
