The West Nile Virus has been detected in mosquito populations in three South Dakota counties

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — The West Nile Virus has been detected in mosquito populations in three South Dakota counties, but so far, there aren’t any human infections being reported.  The South Dakota Health Department rates the risk for humans as moderate.  You can protect yourself by limiting your exposure – especially at night, use repellant and minimize skin exposure.
