Moving day has come for occupants of the Minnehaha County Juvenile Detention Center and it appears to be a big success. Construction was just completed on Phase One of the new Juvenile Justice Center, which replaces the old JDC. Director Jamie Gravett says for some, the move has been an emotional experience. Demolition of the old JDC begins next week, to make room for Phase two construction of the new facility.
