April 24 (Reuters) – Bristol-Myers Squibb and Pfizer said on Friday they will start selling their jointly developed blood thinner through billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban’s online pharmacy beginning April 27.
• Patients with a prescription will pay $345 for a 30-day supply of the blockbuster drug branded as Eliquis on CostPlusDrugs.com.
• The launch adds to the drugmakers’ push to expand direct buying options for cash-paying patients after they rolled out a separate direct-to-patient Eliquis program in 2025 through Eliquis 360 Support.
• Eliquis is one of the most widely prescribed oral blood thinners in the United States and one of the largest drug brands to be added to the Cost Plus Drugs platform, the companies said.
• The drug is used to help lower the risk of stroke and blood clots in some patients with atrial fibrillation, an irregular heartbeat, and to treat blood clots in the legs and lungs.
• Cost Plus Drugs, founded in 2022, is an online pharmacy that lets patients buy medicines directly with clearly listed prices and home delivery through a model designed to reduce added costs in the supply chain.
