CANTON, SD (KELO.com) — There will be delays, but a judge has ordered a competency evaluation for a murder suspect from Tea. Timothy Overton is charged in the 2024 shooting death of 19-year old Isaiah Morales in an apartment parking lot. Late last year, the judge in the case denied Overton’s request to dismiss the charges based on self-defense. Another motions hearing will be scheduled when the competency evaluation report is returned.
