Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate
SISSETON, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate Detention Center is on track to open next week.
Federal funding made way for the new facility, which will allow people arrested on the reservation to stay closer to home instead of being sent to other facilities.
A new Police Department next door is expected to open by the end of the year.
