GAYVILLE, S.D. (KELO.com) — Three volunteer fire departments in South Dakota are receiving $10,000 dollars in grant funding.
It comes from part of the State Farm Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program.
According to the program, roughly 82 percent of fire departments throughout the country are mostly or entirely volunteer based.
The three fire departments receiving the funds are the Gayville Community Fire Department, Norris Volunteer Fire Department and the Springfield Fire Department.
