Brookings Officials Heard Many Comments on Flock Cameras Tuesday

BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO.com) – The Brookings city Council got an earful on the city’s use of FLOCK traffic cameras last night.

Police Chief Michael Drake says they’re a helpful tool for law enforcement, and local safeguards against privacy invasion are in place.

Some residents remain unconvinced.

Brookings operates seven of the cameras at a cost of $21-thousand a year.
