SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO.com) — Unused medications often fall into the wrong hands, and can lead to addiction and drug abuse. With that in mind, the Sioux Falls Police Department is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration in its National Drug Take Back Day. Police Information Officer Aaron Benson says you can drop off unwanted prescription medications at the law enforcement center Saturday morning. “We have a DEA Take Back site right outside the lobby here (at the Law Enforcement Center). We’ll accept your unwanted and unneeded medications from 10am to 12pm. We will not accept syringes or any type of illegal or illicit drugs.” You can find more information on the Drug Take Back event by following this link: https://www.dea.gov/takebackday
