MOUNT RUSHMORE, SD (KELO.com) — It was a weekend to remember, with a Presidential visit, parades and celebrations across South Dakota. Sioux Falls hosted an Independence Day Parade for the first time in three years, filling the downtown area Saturday morning, and marking the nation’s 250th birthday. President Trump kicked things off Friday night at Mount Rushmore, urging the U-S Senate to take action to secure election integrity. The Presidential push on the “Save America Act” was intended for Senators John Thune and Mike Rounds, who were among those in the Mt. Rushmore crowd. President Trump also paid tribute to the four Presidents whose images are etched in stone as he spoke to the large crowd at Mount Rushmore.
